Terms and Conditions for Booking and Use of Høyseth Camping Sauna

1. General

These Terms and Conditions apply to the booking and use of the sauna facilities at Høyseth Camping Sauna.

By completing a booking, the customer confirms that these terms have been read, understood, and accepted.

2. Booking and Payment

  • Bookings are made through our booking system or by arrangement with Høyseth Camping Sauna.
  • A booking becomes binding once payment has been completed and the customer has received a booking confirmation.
  • Payments are processed through the NETS payment solution available on our website.
  • All prices are stated in Norwegian Kroner (NOK) and include VAT where applicable.
  • Høyseth Camping Sauna reserves the right to correct obvious pricing errors or technical mistakes.
  • Drop-in session (1.5 hours): NOK250 per person
  • Private session (1.5 hours): NOK1000 for up to 6 persons

3. Cancellation and Changes

  • No refunds are generally provided.
  • In certain cases, cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled session may be eligible for a refund at the discretion of Høyseth Camping Sauna.
  • Requests to change a booking may be made up to 24 hours before the scheduled session and will be accommodated subject to availability.
  • In cases of illness, adverse weather conditions, or other circumstances beyond the customer’s control, Høyseth Camping Sauna may, at its discretion, offer a rescheduling of the booking.

4. Right of Withdrawal

Sauna bookings constitute a leisure and experience service provided at a specific date and time.

In accordance with the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act, the standard right of withdrawal does not apply once the booking has been confirmed.

5. Use of the Sauna

  • Use of the sauna is entirely at the user’s own risk.
  • Individuals with heart or cardiovascular conditions, high blood pressure, pregnancy, or other health concerns should consult a physician before using the sauna.
  • Alcohol or other intoxicating substances must not be used in a manner that endangers the user or others.
  • Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
  • Towels must always be used on the benches.
  • Users are required to follow all safety instructions provided by Høyseth Camping Sauna.

6. Liability and Compensation

  • Customers are responsible for their own safety during their visit.
  • Customers are liable for damage resulting from negligent, reckless, or improper use of the sauna.
  • Damage to the building, furnishings, or equipment may result in a claim for compensation.
  • Høyseth Camping Sauna accepts no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.

7. House Rules

To ensure a pleasant experience for all guests, the following rules apply:

  • Show consideration and respect for other guests.
  • Always bring a clean towel to sit on.
  • Loud music and disruptive behaviour are not permitted.
  • Littering is prohibited.
  • Glass containers and other glass objects are not permitted inside the sauna.
  • Smoking is prohibited inside the sauna.

Serious breaches of these rules may result in immediate removal from the premises without refund.

8. Operational Disruptions and Force Majeure

Høyseth Camping Sauna reserves the right to cancel or reschedule bookings due to:

  • Technical issues
  • Safety concerns
  • Extreme weather conditions
  • Power outages
  • Other circumstances beyond our reasonable control

If a booking is cancelled by Høyseth Camping Sauna, the customer will be offered either a rescheduling of the booking or a full refund of the amount paid.

9. Privacy

Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable privacy and data protection legislation.

Information is used solely for booking administration, customer communication, and other legally required purposes. Personal data will not be shared with third parties without a lawful basis.

10. Complaints and Disputes

Any complaints should be submitted in writing to Høyseth Camping Sauna within a reasonable period following the visit.

The parties shall seek to resolve any dispute amicably. If an agreement cannot be reached, the matter may be referred to the Norwegian Consumer Council or otherwise resolved in accordance with Norwegian law.
